ANDY W.

RETAIL THERAPY.

After all that weekend partying, everyone was kinda somber. It might be the massive amounts of alcohol consumed or other reasons. We decided that the best medicine was shopping for unneeded things that make us beautiful. We ended up at the Charleston Outlets and after we leave the place I saw smiles on the girl's faces again.

Niks walks out with three out of four outfits shown.

Walked out with a grey cardigan and wool knit cap I've been looking for.

POSERS PLS STOP.

The new look for streetwear this season are loud, multicolor flannels. The trend I see is people buying anything that has a popular tag on it. Flannels are suppose to be the working man's uniform. People shouldn't pay outrageous prices for that sh*t!

Crooks & Castles' flannel has a whopping $100 msrp. A hundred dollars for a flannel shirt??! Ridics. I still see it selling out though.

The next example is MISHKA's flannel with an msrp of $65. Oh what a steal! I see streetwear fags lining up in front of boutiques now.

I went vintage hunting recently and I walked out with this flannel for less than $20. If you take the time and stop with the posing, you can find similar looks for less than what the boutiques are selling it for. The quality is great and the material is butter soft.

THE PHUNKY FEEL ONE.

I have been recently reintroduced to the first tape that made me fall in love with hip hop. Yes, I did say tape. It was in grade school when I started listening to Cypress Hill. They sounded like their style was east coast but they were really from California.

I remember going on a 6th grade field trip and my friend at the time named Jay Ong borrowed the tape during the bus ride and telling me that he had mysteriously lost it. How can you lose a tape in a bus on a 45 minute ride??! I could never prove that he stole the tape from me.

The relationship was never the same again.

The past is the past and now I am continuously listening to my childhood music bumped hard in the Montero!

Thank you Drunken Joe.

INTERMEZZO.

We recently had a six course wine dinner at Austin's. I had the privilege of photographing the whole event and it was exciting to see talented chefs working together like a well oiled machine. The guests enjoyed themselves. These are the dishes the order they were served.

Scallop on polenta with balsamic, red pepper and basil infused oils.

Lobster, corn, and potato chowder.

Grilled caesar salad with roasted red pepper, gorgonzola, bacon, parmesan crostini, and red wine vinaigrette.

California seabass and thyme grilled shrimp on risotto with a smoked tomato coulee.

Filet mignon with lobster medallions.

White chocolate, banana, and coffee creme brulee.
