WYNN TWIN TOWERS.

-Cinista.

THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.

My day started with a movie and yogurt from Jamba Juice. I try to start my day off with something that makes me laugh. It sets the tone for the rest of the day. I had a friend named Geo that started his day with primal screams and jumping. He said it energized him before he had to work his eight hour shift. Makes sense... it's kinda weird but it makes sense.

What's your favorite dinosaur?
Your voice is like a cross between Fergie and Jesus.

LMAO.

I wanted the oatmeal but it wasn't available yet. They start serving it on the 20th of this month.

Got a call and met a friend for an early dinner. We had a couple sandwiches @ Barnes & Noble before she had to go back to work. It was a perfect meeting place cause I was looking for some books. Purchased the infamous Kern book and many others. Will post photos at a later time. Also browsed some mags for inspiration.

Should my next tat be classic black and grey?

... or should it have a little color?

Stopped by Niketown to look for the new safari Air max Ones. It always looks amazing in pictures but Nike quality has gone down year by year. I was very, very, very disappointed. I did not purchase.

Who even wears Nike anymore?!?

Armored face plate with vanity mustache. They were cool back in the day.

Wore these around.

Another friend called me while I was @ the Forum Shops and told me she had an extra ticket to the Phantom of the Opera. Musicals and plays ain't really my cup of tea but I was already in the neighborhood and I had not seen her in awhile; so, I decided to meet. It was my first time at a musical but it was what I expected a musical to be. Exaggerated acting, pyrotechnics, a man with a f*cked-up face, singing, etc. Our seats were superclose to the stage.

I was taking a couple pics of the play when an usher comes to our section and asks me if I was videotaping the show. Nope. She asked if she could see my Blackberry. I said okay. She found nothing. She had to walk away. Noone told me I couldn't do it... and if they did, I would have done it anyway. I thought I was getting kicked out for sure. LOL. That would have been the first time I was 86'd out of a play. Mad classy. Hahahahaha.

I was too excited when I left the place; so, we decided to get some drinks @ Lavo. I wanted to try the food because I heard alot of good things about it. I decided on the tapas platter. It consisted of humus, a tapenade, and tzatziki. Even though I am an avid enjoyer of humus; I liked the tzatziki more than the others on this plate. I had a riesling with the meal that tasted like a chardonnay. I think the waitress got my order wrong but she was cute so whatevs. Walked out of the place mellow.

Like the other days.
Today was a good day. -Ice Cube

We don't have Pinkberry here in Las Vegas.

When I went to Stussy this week, I wanted to stop by to get some Red Mango. It wasn't there anymore?!? So, I didn't get my zip wallet or my froyo. WTF?!

On that note... where can I get the Crooks zipper wallet in LV?

MUCH LOVE.

Stopped by the sciolist's website and saw that he gave me some love. Big up, homie. I, too, check your blog on the daily.

mr. sciolist

it is i who must begin... once i begin, once i try... here and now, right where i am, not excusing myself by saying that things would be easier elsewhere. without grand speeches and ostentatious gestures, but all the more persistently to live in harmony with the voice of being. as i understand it within myself, as soon as i begin that, i suddenly, to my surprise, that i am neither the only one, nor the first, nor the most important one to have set out upon that road... whether all is really lost or not depends entirely on whether or not i am lost...

The Sciolist is one talented photographer. When I look at his photography, it places me where he is at that moment. There are alot of great picture takers out there but the Sciolist has the ability to keep your attention by the content and the vividity of the flicks. Visit his site and see for yourself.

TACHI NORTH LAS VEGAS.

I had lunch recently at my favorite sushi spot in deep North Las Vegas. The chefs are mad friendly and they always take care of me. Cool folks... they hook it up with "off the menu" stuff. Always appreciated.

"White fish". They didn't know what the English translation was. I'll translate it for them. It's delicious!

Uni aka sea urchin. Not for novices.

Green mussel. I can eat three dozen of these!

Salmon belly. I don't eat salmon sashimi anymore. My taste buds graduated... but the chef insisted that I have some. I did and I was pleased.

Amaebi aka sweet shrimp. Have them deepfry the heads and finish with ponzu sauce. It can come as a soup but I prefer it crispy.

I'm craaaaaving a spider hand roll right now!

F*CK!

WHAT'S UP BUTTERCUP?

I gave my mother a book for her birthday because I was tired of giving her lotions, perfumes, and other unoriginal gifts. My mom likes to bake; so, this was the logical choice... plus when I looked into the book it was crazy vibrant with colors. It caught my eye right away. It contains recipes for 500 cupcakes! Yes 500. I don't think I've ever tried more than a dozen types of cupcakes. And those are the basic flavors like chocolate fudge, the white kind and red velvet.

cupcakes book, originally uploaded by JCINISTA.

I didn't expect it the next day but these were waiting for me. I don't know what recipe she did but these are some delicious cupcakes! It didn't need frosting but it would have been "icing on the cake". They weren't too sweet and that's just how I like them. I can't figure out what flavor they were but if I had to describe it... they hint of cornbread. She won't tell me what ingredients she used. LOL.

The next ones I hope to see... . *hint hint hahaha.

Mardi gras!

Toadstool?? Looked cool.

Brioche bread pudding. Fancy.

Cookies & Cream. MmMMMmmmMM.

Sunny side up!

This one is for my adventurous side. Pesto basil.
I love it as pizza... why not cupcakes?!

Trip Out...

There's a Skittles commercial playing right now where the dude is speaking tagalog. It translates to "... but I'm hungry"... then he kicks the mirror out breaking it. HAHAHAHAAA
