YEAR[2006]INREVIEW.

As I look back into the past, I am reminded that I am a lucky person... I've experienced many things people only hear about from television or movies... Living in California[the land of milk and honeys] it was just an everyday type of lifestyle... Excess and easy to access... Now I'm living in the city of Lost Wages, things are still fast... But it's a different kind of FAST... The action is still the same but the people are very different... I'm not saying that in a bad way... I'm just saying... It will NEVER slow down for me... Only way that will happen is if I DIE or get married... Not likely!

Going off on a tangent... I know we live in a time of short attention spans and ADHD... I always keep things short but I have alot on my MIND lately... Many things kept in... I originally wanted to revisit 2006 because of the topic of TRENDS... Many people jump on them! It cheapens things that many may hold dear to them... I'm saying that because I've been weblogging since 2006 and it is just now getting to the mainstream... Every lame and their mother jumped on it... I guess it's time to look for the new thing... I'm sure blogging has been around forever[I'm not the first] but bragging about 'yours' does not impress many... So, when someone comes up to me and tell me about theirs... I just say [with an arrogant smirk] "been up on it"!!

Now... The year two thousand six reviewed...........

26 sure fire ways to let a girl know you care!

1. when she asks how she looks shrug and say "could be better" this will keep her on her toes. and girls love that.

2. never hold her hand. this can be interpreted as a sign of weakness. (or if she grabs your hand squeeze hers really really hard until she cries. this will impress her by showing her what a strong man you are.)

3. once a month sneak up on her from behind and knock her over. girls are like dogs. they love to be roughed up.

4. call her in the middle of the night to ask if she's sleeping. if she is say you better be , repeat this 4 or 5 times until morning. this will show her you care.

5. when she is upset about something, suggest to her that it might be her fault. this will pave the way for her own personal improvement. and every girl needs some improvement.

6. recognize the small things . . . they usually mean the most. then when she's sleeping, steal all her small things and break them. because jewelry is for pussies and asian ladies.

7. if youre talking to another girl, make sure shes looking. Girls love competition.

8. tell her you're taking her out to dinner. drive for miles so she thinks it's going to be really special. then take her to a burning tire yard. when she starts to get upset tell her you were just kidding and now you're really going to take her to dinner. then drive her home. when she starts crying and asks why you would do something like that lean over and whisper very quietly into her ear "...because i can."

9. introduce her to your friends as "some chick". women love those special nicknames.

10. pull with her hair. girls like it when you play with their hair

11. warm her up when shes cold...and not by giving her your jacket... then you might get cold. rather, look her in the eyes and tell her to run a lap and that she could use the exersise

12. Take her to a party. When you get there shell have to go to the bathroom (they always do). Leave immediately. Come back right when the partys dying and yell at her the whole way home for ditching you at the party.

13. make her laugh. a good way to do this is if she has a small pet. kick the pet. i always find stuff like that funny. why shouldn't girls?

14. let her fall asleep in your arms. when she's fast asleep, wait 10 minutes then JUMP UP AND SCREAM IN HER EAR! repeat until she goes home and you can use your arms for more important things. like basketball.

15. Spit often. I hear girls like guys that spit.

16. if you care about her never ever tell her. this will only give her self confidence. then you can never turn her into the object she deep down desires to be.

17. Every time youre in her house steal one of the following: shoes, earrings, or anything else that comes in pairs. Only take one of the pair. This way shell go crazy.

18. Take her out to dinner. Right when shes about to order interrupt and say no shes not hungry. make her watch you eat. Girls love a guy that speaks for her.

19. look her in the eyes and smile. then clock her one. girls love a spontaneous guy.

20. give her one of your t-shirts......and make sure it has your smell on it. but not a sexy cologne smell. a bad smell.....b.o. its wise to use a gym shirt

21. When its raining keep asking her if shes crying. Shell say no its just the rain ten minutes later turn to her and just scream at her "stop crying you baby" Girls like a tough man as i've already stated.

22. if youre listening to music, and she asks to hear it, tell her no. this way she'll think you're mysterious.

23. remember her birthday but don't get her something. Teach her material objects arent important. The only thing thats important is that she keeps you happy. And your happiness is the greatest present she can ever get.

24. when she gives you a present on your birthday, christmas, or just when ever, take it and tell her you love it. then next time you know she's coming over on a trash day leave the trash can open and have the present visibly sticking out of the can. girls actually don't like this one that much but i think it's funny.

25. If shes mad at you for not calling her when you say you will promise her that you will call her at a certain time of the day. This will make sure that she waits by the phone. Tell her when you call youre going to tell her a special surprise. Now shell be really excited. Now dont call.

SHOW OF FASHION.

Today is Tuesday, the second half of my weekend... I planned a relaxing day to myself... First stop was Starbucks for an iced grande green tea latte... The girl at the counter says a total that was off... With a puzzled look;I asked her, "A grande, right??"... She muttered something about soy and took my debit card... I didn't see her swipe it... So, I either got the drink for FREE or I paid $12 for it because she didn't give me a receipt... Oh well, whatevs... The drink was made perfectly... So, I'm happy...

For such an amazing phone, the blackberry takes awful pictures! This is what I have... I'm working with it...

I sit down on one of the couches at the Fashion Show and get ready to write... I, then, become frustrated!! Ahhhh! I shouldn't complain about things that are free but the Wifi connection here is terrible... So, I'm sitting here like an idiot wasting alot of time... It's funny that little things like this can put a damper on a person's day... But the day will not be ruined... The second half of the night will be much more productive... Meeting the fam later on for some Filipino food... Everyone has a hectic schedule... It's not often that we see each other...

COMMON WORDS.

"My college career got downed with a couple of beers..

Came back home, now I gotta pay back loans

Same nigga, same block, same shit they own..

Only thing different, quicker, they click that chrome..

In my defense, yo I had to hit that zone

Man to man, I'm good working with my hands..

My generation never understood working for the man..

And, of being broke I ain't a fan..

Now I stand in the same spot, as my old man
My life I planned not to be on this corner
I still wanna see California

But this is my world.."

GETTING PREPARED.

I am planning a trip to Europe with a childhood friend of mine... Things like these are never certain but it never hurts to be prepared... I've heard many things about Amsterdam and it's all fun... The drugs... the sex... the total craziness... I want to experience all of that but I want to learn about the culture also... I am researching the landmarks, people, and the sub-culture...

Let's start with the obvious stuff...

Attitudes
Many people choose to visit Amsterdam because of its reputation for tolerance, although part of this reputation is attributable to cultural misunderstandings. Prostitution is legalized and licensed in the Netherlands, and in Amsterdam it is very visible (window prostitution), and there are large numbers of prostitutes. The sale, possession, and consumption of small quantities of cannabis, while illegal, is condoned by authorities (the policy of gedogen). This does not mean that you can get away with anything in Amsterdam. In any case, public attitudes and official policy have hardened in recent years. For more on coffeeshops and drugs, see below in Stay safe.

Depending on your viewpoint some people will consider Amsterdam an unwholesome city whereas other people will find their relaxed attitudes refreshing. Amsterdam is not generally seen as a family destination, but if you avoid the red light district, it is no more objectionable for children than any large city.

Nearly everyone in Amsterdam, young or old, seems to speak excellent English.

THE ENDANGERED LIST.

Chilean Seabass, originally uploaded by JCINISTA.

This fish is becoming part of the endangered species list... Many eco-friendly restaurants believe it's unethical to serve it... I can understand why people love it because it is delicious! I don't know where I stand on the issue yet but I'm willing to listen to both sides of the argument... For now, I'm eating in moderation...

::Deep Thought::

I wonder how a bald eagle would taste like?

I just set up my Flickr account and it has a setting for weblogging... I'm soo damn late with this stuff... I don't think I'm using Blogger to its full potential... Tsk tsk!

LAS VEGAS LIFESTYLE.

Station Casinos has a variety of restaurants to choose from... From the premiere steakhouses to Italian rooms followed by the oyster bars then the buffets... It is a competition every day to get the guests through the door...

In an effort to freshen up the food, Station's put forth together a summit to get new ideas that would possibly end up on the menu very soon... It was an interesting experience... There were things that were innovative and some that were just blaah! It showcased the talent that many chefs have in the company... Also, it brought attention to the chefs that did not have it...

These were the ones that stood out for me...

MIRROR OF WHAT IS.

HEDI SLIMANE FOR KATE MOSS.

PORTISHEAD.

Portishead's 60's soundtrack music style is assembled with dubbed hip hop beats and detached female vocals. The familiar syncopation and turntable scratches with outer space bleeps gives an easily identifiable refined sound.. So once you hear a Portishead track, you know it's a Portishead track. Broading sense of menace. Deep conviction on the romantic fatalism tip. Laconic tone with repetitive streaks of despair and emotional upheaval. Beth Gibbons and the rest of the squad is back like cooked crack with their third album, Third. Just a heads up, quality is not in it's prime.

Plastic is a common trend amongst Hollywood... It is refreshing to see someone staying natural in such an unnatural environment... Even if it's Lohan.
